On a hill outside the old town of Ingrandes, stands a charming chateau called St Victor la Grand’ Maison. I fell in love with this place a couple of years ago, when we spent a blissful week exploring the region of Berry. Less well known than the Loire Valley and so much nicer, with rivers, forests and smaller, elegant chateaux such as Bourges. Best of all were the inspiring gardens at Prieure d’Orsan.
We stayed at St Victor again last year, en route to my cooking fest in Gascony. I have been running workshops for three years now, and I love teaching, and the thought took hold of gathering a dozen creative people in these beautiful surroundings for a week of stitching and creative pursuits.
Thinking that a week of undiluted Zoob might be a bit much, I have invited Kate Nicole, of Oyster Bridge & Co, to come and teach as well. I love her work, and between us we are planning a week of exciting workshops, teaching two small groups simultaneously, so that everyone gets plenty of attention and a chance to try all the techniques we have to offer.
