People who have been on my workshops have heard me muttering about screen printing stitch samplers for people to practise stitching. There is something very touching about finding antique or vintage stitch samplers, and some are prized textile collectables. Reader, I have finally done it! The screen arrives this week and I will be printing my first batch in preparation for my Stitch Sampler workshops at Cowslip Workshops next week. If they go well, I will develop more. My idea is that although they are essentially for practising your stitching, trying new stitches and giving yourself something to stitch when you just want the comfort of needle and thread in paw, a stitch sampler should have lots of interesting designs and trails, and perhaps even a theme. So my next one will be on a seaside theme.
