Description

These are serious little works of art for a collector of such things. David Mocatta was a sucsessful and well-known Scottish architect (1806-1882), and I was fortunate enough to purchase quite a few of his sketches from his Grand Tour in 1820, which I have reluctantly sold over time. These two pen and ink sketches of ships, probably off the coast of Glasgow (I looked up Latitude 25.24 North) are his work and I have the provenance. I think they would look very beautiful framed together, either hinged so they hang free, rather like stamps, or surface mounted. The workmanship is exquisite: and they are each 7cm x 6cm in size.

The price of £80 includes postage.
