A very simple stitch, and a lovely Christmas present to give to a friend who likes or wants to learn to stitch. You can either frame the completed embroidery in a vintage wooden frame and prop it on the mantelpiece at Christmas, or you could make a little slip cover for a notebook in which you keep Christmas lists and notes or recipes, as a customer has done (see below).
