I check these terms and conditions periodically and am always glad to notice how we never have to refer to them! However, it is a good idea to read them so that you are clear about how things work. These Terms and Conditions may be modified at any time and without prior notice by Caroline Zoob, the applicable terms and conditions being those in force on the date of the Customer’s order.
Delivery
We deliver to all areas of the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We are currently exploring the requirements for compliance with the new Product Safety regulations issued by the EU. Until further notice I am very sorry to say that we cannot sell to EU member states and that this includes Northern Ireland.
A flat rate for postage and packing is included in the price set for the above areas.
We are a very small business. Orders are usually printed, packed and posted early on the day after placing the order. If you need something delivered in time for a particular date please put this information in the Order Notes box on the Checkout page. It is worth calling 07929 826052 if something is really urgent.
We only change the status of the order to ‘Order Completed’ on the day the order is posted. You will receive an email to tell you that the order is now complete. This does not apply to The Stitcher’s Journal, because you are buying four issues in advance with each subscription. When you purchase a subscription to The Stitcher’s Journal, your order status changes to Subscription acknowledged and you will receive an email confirming the subscription, together with information about any subscriber discounts and setting the password for The Creative Notebook. Your email address is automatically added to our Stitcher’s Journal mailing list so that you will receive our occasional newsletters for subscribers.
Cancelling orders for embroidery kits
Please note that emails regarding orders are checked at 8.30 am each morning, when orders from the day before are packed and posted.
If the kit(s) has not been posted, you will be refunded within twenty-four hours or the next business day, whichever is sooner.
If the kit(s) have been posted then you will need to return them to us unopened in the original outer packaging (i.e. the envelope they were sent in) at your own cost. Once we have received the goods back we will refund any sum debited by us from your credit or debit card within twenty-four hours, less a £5 handling and postage charge for UK orders.
Returns and refunds
Embroidery kits
We hope you will be delighted with your purchases. If there is anything you are not happy with, please telephone or email us on receipt to let us know and we will endeavour to resolve the problem. However, with regard to embroidery kits I am afraid that very upsetting experiences with people ordering kits, photocopying the design and instructions and then requesting a return and refund has led me to say I do not offer returns once the outer packaging has been opened. There are several images for each embroidery kit and I will always endeavour to resolve, free of charge, any issues with the print or threads supplied. I take great care when photographing the kits to ensure the colours and textures are clearly represented. With vintage products I try to describe or show any minor flaws or faults.
The address for returns if agreed in advance (see above) is :

Workshops
If you wish to cancel, it must be no later than 14 days before the workshop and a full refund will be given. Refunds will not be given for cancellations within 14 days of the workshop unless I can re-sell your place. If I can re-sell, I will refund you but only after the workshop has taken place. You can certainly sell your place yourself but the replacement participant must then contact me direct at sales@carolinezoob.co.uk to let me have their details and confirm the new booking.
