A Bowl of Primroses: capture these delicate spring flowers in hand embroidery

What is included in the kit?

  • A unique hand embroidery kit by Caroline Zoob, suitable for all levels.
  • The original embroidery design hand printed on a generously-sized piece of French antique linen.
  • A thread card loaded with all the threads you will need to complete the kit, including three perfect pale primrose shades created especially for Caroline Zoob by The Beautiful Stitch.
  • A six-panel folder printed in full colour, containing clear and comprehensive instructions, an actual size drawing of the design (enabling you to transfer it should you wish to stitch the piece again) and additional illustrations for  clarity and inspiration.
Inspired by the gorgeous primroses we had in the garden this spring, flowering so profusely I was able to pick bowlfuls at a time.

"Caroline's kits have a very special quality that makes bringing them to life quite magical" @mcdonoughmelanie

Additional Information

‘ ‘Tis Spring, come out to ramble the hilly brakes around,
and under thorn and bramble, above the hollow ground
The primroses are found…’

A.E.  Housman, The Lent Lily

Do not be intimidated by those leaves! They are just straight stitches really and actually quite simple to stitch, it just takes some time. The finished embroidery is roughly 14cm / 5 1/2″  square,  and looks beautiful framed in this antique French frame. Sometimes I have these for sale in The Rummage Room.
