Some of you may have read about or attended my Exploring White workshops. I gave the last of these at the Bath Textile Summer School earlier this year, and am now parting with some of my beautiful and precious antique textiles collected especially for the Exploring White workshops. There are a very limited number of these boxes.

At my workshops, I like everyone to have the same access to inspiring materials as I do in my work, and so the lace and whitework included in these boxes gives you a gathering that it would not be possible to create without having collected over time. Some are really precious pieces of whitework and lace. I include plain linens where they emphasise the different shades of white, and also some drawn-thread work and trims. All have been washed and pressed, ready to use as soon as you open the box. Pieces vary in size – they are for small projects for piecing and I try to put them together in a way to inspire you as you unwrap them.

I take time and great pleasure in assembling each box, and no two are the same. I tuck in little surprises – maybe a whitework monogram if I happen to have one with your initial, a vintage transfer which you might work in white, a bit of trim or a decorative (ready-made flowers/leaves in whitework), fragments of patchwork or a vintage spool of silk thread and a couple of screen-printed flowers to embroider in white.

The images are of the pieces I have made or which have been made on my workshops using similar materials.  The subtly different shades of white I find in handling antique French linens over the years are a source of fascination for me.

The price of £55 reflects the nature of the materials and my time in preparing and assembling them. It also includes postage and packing to all areas of the United Kingdom. If you are overseas, please add two £10 tracking fees to cover the considerable extra for tracked postage.
