My favourite colour and texture of antique linen sheet. So much scope for you to add your own text or embroidered motifs to create an heirloom Christmas banner.
44" x 10" | 112 cm x 26 cm, includes a 1" | 2.5cm turn down at the top. You could add coloured fabric along the top to make a channel for a slender pole. The hand-stitched hem (an object lesson in such things!) may be unpicked, so you could add decoration to the hem and re-hem, hiding the back of your work.
Would look charming embroidered in red outline stitch (redwork), or use frosty pale shades or the traditional Christmas colours. Weave text among the holly and ivy, or add text in the gap in the middle.
