A stag, worked in long-and-short stitch, ankle deep n Highland snow, near a bare branched tree; this is one of my favourite embroideries and so I am re-printing it in my new kit design with more instruction and step-by-step illustrations. The thread for the stag is a subtly variegated thread from the Gentle Art range from America. This looks charming in a small, vintage wooden frame, propped on a mantelpiece with some winter foliage,  or you could make it into a lavender heart tree decoration.  The stag is nearly 8cm high.
