THE STITCHER’S JOURNAL 2024 SUBSCRIPTION (EU / USA CANADA AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND)

(1 customer review)

£120.00

It is hard to believe that we have produced twenty issues of The Stitcher’s Journal over the past five years.  There are four in each calendar year, with each year a separate subscription.

Each self-funded (no advertising) issue contains sixty-four pages of content devoted to the story of embroidery and the work of embroiderers past and present, as well as articles about different sources of inspiration for the embroiderer. It has been tremendous fun to dream up and create each issue, exploring the ever-fascinating story of stitch. The Journal is unique in celebrating embroidery by those who may not earn their living from it but who create beautiful work nonetheless. In 2023, each issue was accompanied by an A3 foldout, containing inspiration from my own archive. In 2024, this will continue but each foldout will be centred around an exclusive full stitching pattern, with instructions and thread colours and relevant additional inspiration. The idea of these will be to offer larger designs which can be used flexibly – for cushions, or on clothes.

Not having advertising means that the Journal has to fund itself. Please note that the price of £105 includes almost £5 per issue in untracked postage to Royal Mail Zones 1 & 2at 2023 rates, and that any increases in 2024 will be absorbed by me. If you prefer to have your issues sent by tracked post, please purchase TWO  Tracking Vouchers in the Overseas Section at the same time as your subscription. Please note that current International Tracked postage for a journal to Australia is £14.70 and to the USA £11.05. Tracking does not speed up delivery but, clearly, it means you can check on progress. However, we very rarely have parcels go astray using International Standard post.

As well as editing and producing the Journal, I do as much of the writing as possible in order to keep the cost of freelance contributions down, but I believe it is important to have different voices in the Journal. The prices of just about everything that goes towards creating the Journal have increased by up to 20% over the past couple of years, and I have only increased the price for 2024 to cover these increases at cost. I am exploring subscription software for 2025 so that people can pay quarterly, but in the meantime, I believe that PayPal Pay-in-Three is offered at the checkout at no extra charge.

A 10% discount on ALL my embroidery kits is available to customers who take out a subscription before 20 January, 2024.

Giving a subscription as a gift? Let us know in the comments box if you would like us to send an email or gift card to the recipient to let them know. The first issue of 2024 will be out at the end of February.

Thank you so much Caroline for offering your wonderful embroidery publication again. I can’t imagine the amount of work that goes into this charming magazine. Just placed my order for this year and can’t wait for the final edition from last year. Hope your new year brings joy and inspiration to you as you do for me through each page you lovingly produce. Kind regards, Peggy
