‘WHEN MAY FOLLOWS…’ An embroidery kit by Caroline Zoob (UK)

£45.00

This is a re-issue of a 2020 Stitcher’s Journal Collection kit, previously available exclusively to subscribers. It is one of my very favourite kits to stitch and is inspired by these lines in Robert Browning’s famous poem, Home Thoughts From Abroad.

‘…And after April, when May follows,
And the whitethroat builds, and all the swallows!
Hark, where my blossomed pear-tree in the hedge
Leans to the field and scatters on the clover
Blossoms and dewdrops—at the bent spray’s edge—
That’s the wise thrush; he sings each song twice over,
Lest you should think he never could recapture
The first fine careless rapture!…’

This kit is actually quite simple to stitch, it just takes some time. The finished size is a little larger than A5, and would look beautiful framed. I am planning to use mine to cover my old copy of Browning’s poetry as he is one of my favourite poets.

You can download my Favourite Stitch cards free of charge or visit the new RSN Stitch Bank, a simply fabulous new online resource.

The price includes postage and packing to all parts of the United Kingdom. We track all orders over £100 free of charge.
